At TeslSizzo we take your privacy as seriously as your EV's security. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and what control you have over it when you use the mobile app, the smartwatch version, and our web services.
Information we collect
To deliver the service we only collect what is necessary:
- Account: email and authentication data.
- Vehicle access: the authorization issued by the manufacturer so we can execute the commands you request.
- Vehicle data: basic information such as battery state, location or door status — only when you issue a command or request it.
- Device: model, operating system and the device identifier, needed to send you notifications, bind your account to the device and prevent fraudulent use of the free trial (see "Device identifier and fraud prevention" below).
- Usage: command events and errors, for diagnostics and continuous improvement.
How we protect your information
Security is part of the product, not an add-on:
- End-to-end encryption: your information travels and is stored protected at all times. It is never exposed in clear text.
- Authenticated commands: every action you trigger is verified before reaching your vehicle, preventing unauthorized access.
- Full isolation: every account runs in a fully isolated environment. Your space is only yours.
- You decide who gets access: you can revoke access at any time. We never intercept or use your credentials without your authorization.
We follow industry best practices and continuously update our systems to guarantee the highest level of protection.
How we use your information
We use your information exclusively to:
- Authenticate you and keep your session alive.
- Execute the commands you issue from the app or smartwatch.
- Send you notifications related to your vehicle (e.g. charge complete, security alerts).
- Diagnose and fix errors in the service.
We do not sell, trade or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. Ever.
Legal bases for processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases, as applicable in your jurisdiction: (i) the performance of the contract consisting of providing the service you request; (ii) your consent, given expressly and on an informed basis at the time of registration; (iii) our legitimate interest in ensuring the security of the platform and in preventing fraud and abuse; and (iv) compliance with the legal obligations to which we are subject. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Device identifier and fraud prevention
In order to protect the service, we collect and process an identifier of your device. This identifier is used solely and exclusively for legitimate purposes, namely: (a) to protect your account and session against unauthorized access; (b) to route notifications to the correct device; (c) to associate your account with the device from which registration was performed; and (d) to prevent fraud and abuse, including the repeated creation of accounts intended to obtain multiple free trial periods from a single device.
We expressly state that the device identifier is not used for any unlawful purpose, is not used for advertising tracking or commercial profiling, and is not sold or transferred to third parties. Its processing is limited to what is strictly necessary for the purposes described and is based on your consent and on our legitimate interest in security and fraud prevention, in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
Where appropriate — for example, upon transfer or sale of the device — you may request the unbinding of the device by writing to [email protected]; the system may also automatically release such association after a prolonged period of inactivity of the owning account.
Third parties
To operate, TeslSizzo relies on trusted providers to:
- Communicate with your vehicle manufacturer's official service to execute commands.
- Handle authentication and push notifications.
- Process subscriptions through the App Store and Google Play.
We only share with them the minimum information needed for the service to work. These providers have their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review.
Cookies
The website uses cookies only to remember your language preference and keep your session active. We do not use advertising tracking cookies or third-party profiling cookies.
Your control and rights
At any time you can:
- Revoke TeslSizzo's access from your manufacturer account.
- Request permanent deletion of your account and associated data by writing to [email protected].
- Export your personal data upon request.
- Disable push notifications from your device settings.
Retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove all personal data and tokens within 30 days, except records we are legally or accounting-wise required to retain.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service or in applicable law. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top and notify relevant changes via email or inside the app.
